Marco Rubio has been sworn in as the new U.S. Secretary of State.
Rubio took the oath of office today following his confirmation in the United States Senate. He recited the oath before Vice President James David Vance.
In this role, Rubio succeeds Antony Blinken, who served during the Biden administration.
On Monday, the official ceremony marking the transfer of power took place in Washington, with President Joe Biden handing over to newly elected President Donald Trump.
