The deadline for media representatives to apply for accreditation for Kosovo’s February 9 parliamentary elections is set to expire on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. Both local and international media outlets must submit their applications by this date to secure the right to report from polling stations on election day.
Accreditation Process
According to Central Election Commission (KQZ) spokesperson Valmir Elezi, dozens of applications have already been submitted by various media organizations, covering hundreds of journalists and reporters.
“The accreditation process for media representatives covering the Kosovo Assembly Elections is ongoing. The deadline for submitting applications for both local and international media is February 4. So far, we have received dozens of applications for the accreditation of hundreds of media representatives. The KQZ will decide on these accreditations throughout the week,” Elezi stated.
Importance of Accreditation
Accredited media representatives will have access to polling stations on election day and to key post-election processes, including vote counting at Municipal Counting Centers and the Central Counting and Results Center.
