Bedri Shabani and Muharrem Qerimi have appeared before the court panel at the Basic Court of Pristina.

They are suspected of espionage for the Serbian Security and Information Agency (BIA).

Bedri Shabani’s lawyer, Besnik Berisha, emphasized that his client would not make a statement at today’s hearing.

“I need to take the indictment with me, read it, and then make a statement regarding the guilt or innocence,” Shabani told his lawyer.

As a result, the hearing was postponed until March 17, reports IndeksOnline.

It should be noted that in February 2025, the Kosovo Special Prosecutor’s Office filed an indictment against Shabani and Qerimi for the criminal offense of “Espionage.”

They are suspected of providing information to the Serbian Intelligence Service (BIA) about the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), massacres in Kosovo, the Kosovo Intelligence Agency, the Kosovo Police, and the Police Inspectorate of Kosovo.

They are also suspected of having held physical meetings in Serbia with senior BIA officials and a former commander of the Serbian Police, who led a police-military operation during one of the massacres committed in Kosovo during the war.
