Prime Minister Albin Kurti, during the Commemorative Academy for the KLA Epic held in Pristina, emphasized the need for investment in security, especially following the war taking place in Ukraine.
Kurti highlighted that security investments will continue, counting on the USA, while mentioning that Kosovo, over the past four years, has adhered to NATO’s plan for military investment.
“The horizon of the future is clouded by the dark clouds of the war happening in Ukraine. Over the past four years, we have met NATO’s quota for military investment. Our effort for security and peace will continue with investment in security, relying on our alliance with the USA, the EU, Turkey, and Canada. Kosovo remains committed not only to benefiting but also to helping bring peace to Europe. Kosovo is not just a consumer of security in Europe, but also contributes to that security. Kosovo aims to join both the EU and NATO.”
