Tonight in Pristina, the commemoration for the Kosovo Liberation Army’s (KLA) Epope was held.
In his speech to those present, the Prime Minister of the country spoke about security matters.
Kurti expressed that wars are not just a thing of the past, and they have returned to this century on the European continent.
Furthermore, Kurti also spoke about the investments made in the Kosovo Security Force (KSF).
“While countries on our continent are investing more in equipment and military preparation, we in Kosovo, who have experienced and survived the war in the recent past, and who have the threat of an open military aggression not far from our borders, are also working to equip the KSF with modern armaments and train it according to contemporary military standards. In the last 4 years, we have met NATO’s requirement of dedicating at least 2 percent of the Gross Domestic Product for defense. We have invested 319 million euros in modern armaments such as ‘Bayraktar’ drones, ‘Javelin’ anti-tank systems,” said Kurti.
Kurti stated that the KSF and other security forces of the country have high morale because they draw endless inspiration from the example of the liberation war.
