The Pakistani Army has announced that it has freed more than 300 hostages from a passenger train who had been taken by militants in the Balochistan province on Tuesday.
According to a statement from an army spokesperson, 33 militants were killed during the operation to release the hostages.
Before the operation began, the army stated that the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) had killed 21 civilian hostages and 4 soldiers. These numbers have not yet been verified by the BBC.
The Pakistani Army continues its search operation in the area to eliminate any remaining threats.
