The Council for Albanian-American Relations has launched an online petition calling on the Government of Kosovo to eliminate the 10% tariff currently imposed on products from the United States.

Representatives of the Council argue that removing the tariff would strengthen the close ties between Kosovo and the U.S., reinforcing their strategic alliance and mutual trust.

“Incredibly, Kosovo maintains zero tariffs on goods from Serbia—a country that openly declares territorial ambitions and continues efforts to destabilize Kosovo and the region—while still applying a 10% tariff on American products,” the Council emphasized.

The petition urges citizens to support the initiative, framing the removal of the tariff as a crucial step toward reaffirming Kosovo’s commitment to its strongest international ally.
