Today marks 26 years since the massacre in the villages of Poklek i Vjetër and Çikatovë e Vjetër in the municipality of Drenas.
Infants, children, young people, women, men, and the elderly were killed, massacred, and some of them were even burned. Among the 77 bodies of those killed and massacred were infants as young as six months old, all the way up to elderly individuals aged 75.
Even after more than two decades, none of the perpetrators or those who ordered the massacre have been held accountable by justice.
