The Basic Court in Pristina has issued international arrest warrants for 42 other defendants in connection with the Banjska attack case.

The warrants aim to secure the presence of the accused during court proceedings, as most of them— including Milan Radoičić, who claimed responsibility for organizing the attack—are currently at large.

These individuals face serious criminal charges, including terrorism and the financing of terrorism. Kosovo’s judicial authorities have stated that efforts are now focused on their apprehension and extradition to face justice.

At today’s hearing, alongside the case prosecutor, an investigator from the Anti-Terrorism Department was also present. However, following a request from the defense attorneys, the presiding judges ruled that the investigator must leave the courtroom, arguing that his presence was not legally permitted at this stage of the proceedings.

The Special Prosecution of Kosovo has emphasized the importance of proceeding with the trial against all defendants, including those who remain fugitives—most notably Milan Radoičić. However, the matter remains pending, as the judge has requested a legal opinion from the Supreme Court on whether a trial in absentia is permissible.

At the preparatory hearing held on October 9, 2024, defendants Toliq and Spasojević declined to enter pleas, while Maksimović pleaded not guilty.
