At the invitation of the Chief of the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces, General Metin Gürak, the Commander of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF), Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, is conducting an official visit to the Republic of Turkey.
During the meeting with General Gürak, the two sides discussed strengthening military cooperation between the two countries, with particular emphasis on enhancing KSF’s capabilities through training programs, joint exercises, and the exchange of professional experiences.
As part of the visit, Lieutenant General Jashari also met with the Minister of National Defense of Turkey, Mr. Yaşar Güler, where both parties reaffirmed the strategic partnership and Turkey’s strong support for the professionalization of the KSF. Discussions also covered topics such as military procurement, defense industry development, and advanced training opportunities.
During the visit, the KSF Commander also toured special forces units, held meetings with representatives of defense institutions and industry, and met with KSF cadets currently studying at Turkish military academies.
Cooperation with the Republic of Turkey remains essential to strengthening Kosovo’s defense capacities and contributing to both regional and global security.
