Emergency Management Agency Kicks Off Awareness Week, Aiming for Closer Connection with Citizens

The Emergency Management Agency (EMA) kicked off its Awareness Week with an exhibition of firefighter equipment, the barrier team, and the wildfire extinguishing team.

EMA Director Genc Metaj emphasized that their goal is to raise awareness and be closer to citizens.

“Our aim is also to promote the role and importance of the Emergency Management Agency, professional fire and rescue units, protection, rescue, and assistance structures, as well as the measures that need to be taken in case of disasters, with a special focus on their prevention,” Metaj said.

The event was also attended by Xhelal Sveçla, the acting Minister of Internal Affairs.

The Emergency Management Agency leads and coordinates national efforts in prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery in emergency situations.
