The President of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Memli Krasniqi, has stated that Albin Kurti continues to hold the MPs and the country’s institutions hostage, according to Reporteri.net.

He emphasized that it has been three months since the elections, and Kosovo still lacks both a Parliament and a Government.

“We have institutional misfortune, figuratively speaking, because of him and his obstinacy,” Krasniqi said, referring to Albin Kurti, the leader of VV (Vetëvendosje).

According to Krasniqi, President Osmani could play a role in organizing a meeting to resolve the crisis.

“The President could take a role, at least in organizing the roundtable we have previously suggested. It’s up to her to decide when. The PDK, as you know, will participate in any meeting that might help unblock the situation,” Krasniqi said.

He also added that PDK supports any initiative aimed at resolving the crisis and unblocking the political deadlock.

Today, the 14th consecutive session to constitute the Parliament failed.

VV failed to conduct a secret vote, receiving only 52 votes, while the other parties did not propose any members for the Commission and therefore did not participate in the vote.
