Daut Haradinaj, a sworn-in MP from the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), has criticized Albin Kurti’s insistence on nominating Albulena Haxhiu as Speaker of the Assembly, calling her name unacceptable to the opposition.
Speaking on Rubikon on Klan Kosova, Haradinaj stated that Kurti must acknowledge he lacks a majority and should seek broader political cooperation to unblock institutions.
He said more acceptable candidates from Vetëvendosje, such as Saranda Bogujevci or Shqipe Selimi, could earn opposition support:
“If Bogujevci or Selimi is proposed, I will vote for them. If Kurti values Albulena Haxhiu more than Kosovo’s institutions, let him continue this way.”
He also welcomed the initiative of President Vjosa Osmani to convene party leaders, saying that even though her role is not formal in this process, her presence could help facilitate a political solution.
