The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) announced that today marks the 26th anniversary of the fall of Commander Qamil Ilazi, leader of Brigade 162 “Agim Bajrami,” along with his fellow fighters: Selim Shehu, Rizvan and Xhezair Bela, Sakip Mulaku, Ejup Dushkaja, Burhan Zeneli, and Hesat Axhami.
In a Facebook post, PDK also commemorated the martyrs of Kaçanik who were killed on the same day by Serbian forces.
“Commander Bardhi was one of the most distinguished strategists of the Kosovo Liberation Army, who through his commitment in the war turned Kaçanik into an impenetrable stronghold against the Serbian army,” the statement reads.
“Today, we also remember the martyrs of Kaçanik who were killed that same day by the enemy’s hand. Eternal glory to the heroes and martyrs of Kaçanik!”
