The “Freedom, Justice and Survival” Party has issued a strong reaction regarding yesterday’s incident in North Mitrovica.
According to the statement, Nenad Rašić said he held a conversation with the acting Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, and urged him to undertake all necessary measures to prevent such cases from reoccurring.
Rašić emphasized that the potential use of force against youth, particularly during symbolic moments like graduation celebrations, represents a serious blow to core democratic values and further strains the already fragile situation in northern Kosovo.
Additionally, Rašić announced that on Monday he will officially file a request to the Kosovo Police Inspectorate for an urgent and thorough investigation into all circumstances surrounding the case — aiming to determine accountability and prevent future incidents.
“The Freedom, Justice and Survival Party calls on all relevant institutions and international partners to monitor this case closely and contribute to protecting fundamental human rights, peace, and stability in Kosovo,” the party emphasized in its statement.
