Today, the commander of NATO-led KFOR’s Regional Command East (RC-E), Colonel Peter Helzer, presided over the change of command ceremony for the Aviation Task Force at Camp Bondsteel in Kosovo.

During the event, outgoing commander Colonel Bryan Reid officially transferred authority to his successor, Lieutenant Colonel Brian Snook.

Colonel Helzer congratulated Colonel Reid for his exceptional leadership and dedication and extended his best wishes to Lieutenant Colonel Snook as he assumes his new responsibilities.

KFOR continues to implement its mandate – based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 – to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at all times, and KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security first responders,” stated the KFOR announcement.
