Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz has delivered a harsh statement against Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, following a recent rocket attack targeting Israeli territory.
According to AFP, the Soroka Medical Center in Israel was struck by an Iranian rocket, prompting a wave of condemnation from Israeli officials.
Katz accused Khamenei of personally ordering strikes on civilian targets, including hospitals, and warned that such a figure must no longer be tolerated on the international stage.
“Khamenei has openly declared he wants Israel destroyed—he personally gives the orders to strike hospitals. He considers the annihilation of the State of Israel a goal. Such a man cannot be allowed to exist anymore,” Katz stated.
This escalatory rhetoric reflects the growing tensions between Israel and Iran, raising alarm over the potential for broader regional conflict.
