Kurti Discusses Assembly Constitution, Berlin Process, and Police Officer’s Arrest with British Ambassador

Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti met yesterday with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Kosovo, Jonathan Hargreaves.

According to a press release from the Prime Minister’s Office, the meeting covered a range of topics, including the outcomes of the recent NATO summit in The Hague, preparations for this year’s Berlin Process Summit, which will be held in London, and the ongoing process of constituting the Assembly. The issue of the arrest of police officer Arbnor Spahiu by Serbia was also raised.

“During the meeting, the issue of the citizen of the Republic of Kosovo, Arbnor Spahiu, was also raised, for whom the Prime Minister stated that he has been unjustly arrested and continues to be held in detention by Serbian authorities since June 7, and that the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo are engaged in securing his release,” the statement noted.

Kurti thanked the United Kingdom for its continuous support to Kosovo and congratulated the Ambassador on the official national holiday – King Charles III’s Birthday.
