Leaders from the Western Balkans and representatives from the European Union are gathering in Skopje today for the second day of a summit focused on implementing the Growth Plan for the region.
Kosovo’s acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, and Serbian President, Aleksandar Vučić, are both scheduled to speak at the summit.
Last night, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski hosted a formal dinner for regional leaders and European officials at “Winery Kamnik.” Concurrently, ministers and implementing partners attended a parallel dinner at the same venue.
The main part of the meeting takes place today at the “Hilton Double Tree Hotel.” The primary focus will be on evaluating the Growth Plan, proposing new initiatives, and fostering economic cooperation through the Regional Common Market. The summit will feature two discussion panels and conclude with a press conference and official luncheon.
Attendees include leaders such as Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, Kosovo’s acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, Montenegrin Prime Minister Milojko Spajić, and the Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Borjana Krišto, alongside representatives from the EU, EBRD, World Bank, and regional organizations.
