Kosovo’s President Vjosa Osmani today met with Yuriko Backes, the Minister of Defense of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
During the meeting, President Osmani expressed profound gratitude for the contribution of Luxembourg’s Armed Forces within the KFOR mission, highly commending the country’s dedication to promoting peace and security throughout the region.
Deepening Cooperation and Euro-Atlantic Aspirations
President Osmani also reiterated appreciation for Luxembourg’s support to the Office of the President in achieving shared strategic objectives, as well as for the President’s initiatives in various areas of mutual interest.
“The President emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation in the field of defense between Kosovo and Luxembourg, as an essential component for strengthening regional security and developing joint capabilities,” the press release stated.
She further valued Luxembourg’s continuous support through development projects in Kosovo. In this context, President Osmani underscored the strategic importance of continued support from Luxembourg for Kosovo’s membership process in Euro-Atlantic institutions and international organizations, highlighting shared democratic values and Kosovo’s role as a stable factor in regional stability.
