Kosovo’s Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, hosted Luxembourg’s Minister of Defense, Yuriko Backes, on Tuesday to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation—particularly in areas where Kosovo seeks strategic support, reports RKS News.

Minister Maqedonci expressed gratitude for Luxembourg’s continued development investments in Kosovo, stating that these projects have significantly contributed to improving living standards and promoting sustainable development in the country.

He also thanked Luxembourg for its military contribution to KFOR, particularly through the Benelux contingent, underscoring its role in maintaining peace and stability in the region.

“We are ready to deepen defense cooperation with Luxembourg, while also expecting support for Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic integration and membership in the Council of Europe and other international organizations,” Maqedonci said in a social media post following the meeting.
