A tragic mass shooting in the River North neighborhood of Chicago on Wednesday evening has left four people dead and 14 others injured, RKS News reports.
According to police, a vehicle pulled up near a crowd gathered in the 300 block of West Chicago Avenue, and a gunman opened fire on people standing outside. The vehicle quickly fled the scene, and no arrests have been made as of yet.
Several of the injured remain in critical condition and are currently receiving emergency medical treatment at area hospitals. Authorities have launched a full investigation, but motive and suspect identities remain unknown.
