President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, welcomed the new United Nations Development Coordinator in Kosovo, Stephen O’Malley, in a formal meeting today.
During the meeting, Osmani congratulated O’Malley on his new role and wished him success throughout his mandate.
According to the official statement from the Presidency of Kosovo, Osmani expressed gratitude for the work of the UN agencies present in Kosovo, highlighting their collaboration with local institutions to achieve shared development goals.
“These objectives include projects focused on human rights empowerment, with special attention to persons with special needs, gender equality, the Women, Peace, and Security Agenda, sustainable economic development, and other areas of significant importance,” the statement noted.
This meeting underscores Kosovo’s commitment to strengthening ties with the UN and advancing sustainable development initiatives in collaboration with international partners.
