Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the deployment of foreign troops is being discussed as part of post-war security guarantees for Ukraine.
“It is important that we are discussing all of this. Yes, of course, it will be thousands, not just a few. And this is a fact,” he said in the western Ukrainian city of Uzhhorod.
Earlier on Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin warned that any foreign troops stationed in Ukraine would be considered legitimate targets for Russian forces.
