A large group of Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) veterans have departed from the Durres–Bari port route on their way to The Hague, where a major protest is scheduled to take place tomorrow.
The veterans are traveling through Durres, Albania, using the Bari, Italy, sea route in order to avoid passing through Serbia and Montenegro, where potential obstacles could disrupt their journey.
The protest, set for Sunday, September 14, is expected to gather thousands of citizens from the diaspora and Albanian communities across the region, demonstrating solidarity and support for former KLA members facing trials at The Hague.
