Today’s Deadline for Political Party Observers’ Accreditation for Local Elections

Today, September 17, marks the final day for 93 certified political parties participating in the October 12 Local Elections to submit requests to the Central Election Commission (CEC) for the accreditation of their observers.

According to CEC Spokesperson Valmir Elezi, “September 17, 2025, is the deadline for submitting requests to accredit observers from political parties certified to participate in the Local Elections.” Deadlines for other observers will follow on later dates.

The Central Election Commission continues the online application period for accreditation of observers and media representatives monitoring the Local Elections for Mayors and Municipal Assemblies, scheduled for October 12, 2025.

Eligible applicants include:

  • Certified political parties,
  • Non-governmental organizations (NGOs),
  • Governmental and intergovernmental organizations,
  • International organizations specialized in elections and human rights,
  • Domestic and international media, and
  • Representatives of foreign states.

Accreditation Deadlines

  • September 17, 2025 – Political party observers,
  • September 27, 2025 – Local NGOs, governmental and intergovernmental organizations, international organizations, and foreign state representatives,
  • October 7, 2025 – Domestic and international media.

How to Apply

  1. Step One: The authorized representative of the organization (NGO, governmental/intergovernmental organization, specialized international organization, media, or foreign state representative) completes the required data on the online platform: https://apliko.kqz-ks.org.
  2. Step Two: After submission, the Office for Registration, Certification, and Financial Control of Political Parties (ZRCKFSP) reviews the application and decides on approval or rejection. Approved applicants will receive credentials via email to access the platform and submit information for the individuals to be accredited.
