The British Ambassador to Kosovo, Jonathan Hargreaves, visited officers and soldiers of the Scottish Guards deployed at Camp Bondsteel. The contingent was stationed in Kosovo a month ago as part of NATO’s commitments.
In a social media post, Ambassador Hargreaves emphasized that the deployment highlights the United Kingdom’s commitment to security in Kosovo and the wider Western Balkans.
“I had the pleasure of visiting the Scottish Guards officers and soldiers at Camp Bondsteel this week. They are there to conduct an operational deployment as NATO’s Strategic Reserve. This deployment demonstrates the British Army’s ability to fulfill its NATO commitments and shows the United Kingdom’s support for Kosovo and security in the Western Balkans,” Hargreaves stated.
