The Kosovo Customs announced on Saturday that it has prevented two separate cases of smuggling at the Jarinjë border crossing, following detailed inspections of vehicles entering the country.

In the first case, customs officers discovered and seized around 300 grams of undeclared silver, hidden in a passenger vehicle driven by a Serbian citizen. The silver was concealed to avoid customs duties and to be illegally placed on the Kosovo market.

In the second case, officials intercepted a large quantity of dairy products being transported without the required documentation, in violation of regulations on the import of animal-origin goods.

The confiscated goods have been sent for further legal procedures. Kosovo Customs emphasized its continued commitment to combating smuggling and protecting both the economy and public health.
