In preparation for the smooth conduct of the local elections scheduled for Sunday, October 12, KEDS (Kosovo Energy Distribution and Supply Company) has placed all technical capacities and workforce on full alert to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply at every polling station across Kosovo.
To guarantee immediate response to unforeseen situations and enable rapid reporting and intervention in the field, KEDS has taken the following measures:
- Around 500 company workers will oversee operations on election day to ensure everything proceeds according to the operational plan.
- Each polling station will have dedicated company staff on duty throughout the day.
- The Dispatch Center and KEDS Call Center will operate at full capacity.
- Workers, divided into teams across each locality, will remain on standby for monitoring and intervention whenever and wherever needed until the conclusion of the voting process.
KEDS’ operational plan for Sunday also involves the full deployment of the company’s logistical capacities, both in the field and within the company’s control center.
The company also confirms that no maintenance work or investment projects in the electricity distribution network are scheduled for election day.
All citizens are urged to report any electricity failures immediately by calling the toll-free Call Center at 0800 79 100 or via KEDS’ social media channels.
