Journalist Blendi Fevziu reports that the Albania national football team is currently stationed in an isolated area near Niš, approximately 40 minutes from Leskovac, where tonight’s World Cup qualifying match against Serbia will take place.

Fevziu emphasized that the atmosphere is calm, despite tight security measures being in place.

“Compared to the famous 2014 Belgrade match, where I was present, this is a completely different atmosphere. The national team is isolated in a hotel on the outskirts of Niš. Security is very strict—no one is allowed close, and neither the Albanian team nor their delegation have approached anyone. Tickets have been distributed by invitation only,” Fevziu said in an interview with Klan.

He added that, given Serbia’s current political issues, authorities are keen to avoid any tensions during tonight’s match.
