Anti-Drug Operation in Podujeva: 7 Albanian Nationals Arrested

Seven individuals have been arrested in Podujeva on Saturday following a police operation coordinated with the State Prosecutor’s Office, the Kosovo Police confirmed.

Based on operational intelligence, investigators identified a location in the village of Shtedim suspected of being involved in illegal narcotics activity.

According to the police statement, the arrests took place inside a private residence, and all the detainees are citizens of Albania — five women and two men.

“During the search of a house, police arrested seven individuals, all citizens of the Republic of Albania (five female and two male),” the report stated.

At the scene, police also discovered a significant quantity of narcotic substances and equipment used for drying marijuana plants.

“Special intervention units assisted the investigation team. Following the arrests, anti-drug officers were called to the scene to coordinate further actions,” the police added.
