The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, is set to visit Tirana today as part of her official tour of the Western Balkan countries.
According to the published agenda, von der Leyen will meet with the President of Albania, Bajram Begaj, and Prime Minister Edi Rama. The discussions are expected to focus on the region’s EU integration process and the €6 billion Growth Plan for the Western Balkans.
Following her meetings with Begaj and Rama, von der Leyen will deliver a speech at the Western Balkans Regional Investment Conference, scheduled to take place later in the afternoon.
As part of her regional tour, the European Commission President will also visit Kosovo on Wednesday, where she is expected to meet with senior state officials.
