An unexploded ordnance was discovered Friday afternoon in the village of Plemetin, Obiliq, while a local resident was working in his field.
The incident was reported around 14:35, when the complainant, a Kosovar male, informed the Kosovo Police after spotting a suspicious object that appeared to be a hand grenade.
Police units immediately arrived at the scene, secured the perimeter, and called in the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) demining unit, which successfully and safely removed the grenade.
“Plemetin village, Obiliq, 17.10.2025 – 14:35. The complainant, a Kosovar male, reported that while working in his field, he encountered a suspected unexploded device believed to be a hand grenade. Police units secured the area, while KSF demining teams safely removed the device,” the police stated in their 24-hour report.
