Learta Hollaj, Chief of Staff to President Vjosa Osmani, reacted to a statement by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, in which he described Bashar al-Assad’s approach as “freedom-loving.”
Hollaj stated that this praise comes despite Vučić being fully aware that Assad was a genocidal leader who used chemical weapons against children.
She also noted that this is not the first time Vučić has made such statements, recalling his previous praises for Slobodan Milošević.
“However, this is not the first time! He also called Milošević ‘a great man with good intentions,’” she wrote.
At the end of her reaction, Osmani’s Chief of Staff emphasized that killing innocent people defines Vučić’s idea of freedom.
“I believe that the killing of the innocent defines Vučić’s idea of freedom,” she concluded.
