Acting Minister of Interior Xhelal Sveçla stated that Serbia continues to plan terrorist attacks in Kosovo through criminal and terrorist gangs. His remarks follow the recent discovery of ten detonators with fuses near the village of Gnjezhdan in Leposaviq by KFOR and the Kosovo Police.

“Through criminal and terrorist gangs, Serbia continues to plan and carry out terrorist attacks in the Republic of Kosovo. Yesterday, the Kosovo Police, together with KFOR, discovered ten detonators with fuses near Gnjezhdan in Leposaviq. Thanks to the presence and deployment of Kosovo Police and security institutions, these devices, which could have caused dangerous terrorist attacks, were seized, preventing or minimizing potential incidents aimed at causing harm, insecurity, and fear among citizens,” Sveçla wrote.

He emphasized that Kosovo remains committed to combating criminal gangs.

“There is no turning back. The Kosovo Police, security institutions, and the Republic of Kosovo are determined to confront such criminal gangs and will respond as they deserve. Constitutionality, legality, order, and justice will prevail over any terrorist, mafia, or criminal cell,” Sveçla concluded.
