The acting government spokesperson, Përparim Kryeziu, has responded to a report by Klan Kosova claiming that the “Kurti 2” government spent €27.3 million in nine months. Kryeziu described the report as misleading and inaccurate.
He clarified that the €27.3 million in expenses over nine months do not pertain solely to the Kurti administration, but also include all public institutions, both local and central.
“Disinformation! Last night’s report intentionally attributes all public spending to the Kurti government, despite the fact that the total includes central and local institutions, municipalities, agencies, the Assembly, and the Presidency,” Kryeziu stated.
He emphasized that these are necessary operational expenses, not luxury spending.
“Moreover, these are essential costs for key institutions, such as the police and defense. Fuel expenses also cover heating for schools. Portraying these as luxury expenditures and attributing the full sum solely to the central government constitutes intentional disinformation and misleads citizens,” he added.
Kryeziu stressed that accurate reporting is critical to ensure transparency and public trust.
