Following the formal dissolution of the Kosovo Assembly by President Vjosa Osmani, party leaders met with the President to propose dates for early parliamentary elections.

During the meeting, Albin Kurti, leader of LVV, and Faton Peci of the Guxo party proposed 28 December as the election date. In contrast, the leaders of PDK (Bedri Hamza), LDK (Lumir Abdixhiku), and AAK (Ramush Haradinaj) favored 21 December.

Fatmir Limaj, of the NISMA Socialdemokrate, suggested either 21 December or 11 January, noting that holding elections on 4 January or 28 December would be problematic due to the holiday season.

The meeting reflects ongoing negotiations among Kosovo’s political parties as they attempt to agree on a schedule for elections after repeated failures to form a government since the February 9 elections. The President is expected to announce the official election date once a consensus or decision is reached.
