The acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, received Republican Congressman Mike Turner and Democratic Congressman Donald Norcross, with whom he says he discussed relations between the two countries and their bilateral cooperation, particularly in the areas of defense and security.
“I had the pleasure today of welcoming Republican Congressman Mike Turner and Democratic Congressman Donald Norcross. Both are members of the House Armed Services Committee and the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. We discussed the relations between our friendly countries and our bilateral cooperation, especially in the field of defense and security. During this governing mandate, Kosovo has quadrupled its defense budget, significantly strengthening our defensive capacities and advancing them with new systems—including American-made systems. Meanwhile, over the past four years, more than 1,000 members of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) have participated in military training programs in the United States, including military education at West Point and the U.S. Army War College. We remain forever grateful for the historic contribution, active role, and continued support of the United States of America to the state of Kosovo,” Kurti stated.
