The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Kosovo has announced that the deadline for registered political parties to notify the institution about participating in the early parliamentary elections scheduled for 28 December 2025 through coalitions is still open.
According to Valmir Elezi, CEC spokesperson, the notification period started on 24 November and will end on 30 November 2025.
So far, the Office for Registration, Certification, and Financial Control of Political Entities has received notification for the formation of one coalition, consisting of the Party of Ashkali for Integration (PAI), the Democratic Party of Ashkali of Kosovo (PDAK), and the Movement for Cooperation (LPB).
The CEC emphasized that a coalition must include at least two parties, and a party certified within a coalition cannot withdraw until the election results are officially certified. Additionally, member parties of a coalition cannot participate independently or as part of another coalition in the same elections.
“A coalition can be formed by at least two political parties. Once certified, a party cannot withdraw until the election results are certified by the CEC. Member parties cannot participate in another coalition or as independent parties in the same elections,” Elezi stated.
