KFOR Commander Meets UNMIK Chief in Pristina, Focus on Kosovo Security Situation

The commander of the NATO-led mission, KFOR, Major General Özkan Ulutaş, met today at the KFOR headquarters in Film City Camp, Pristina, with the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General and Head of UNMIK, Mr. Peter N. Due.

According to an official statement, the meeting focused on the current security situation in Kosovo and on deepening close cooperation between KFOR and UNMIK, reports IndeksOnline.

Major General Ulutaş reaffirmed KFOR’s commitment to continuous coordination with UNMIK to ensure a safe and secure environment for all citizens across Kosovo.

“KFOR emphasized that it continues to implement its mandate, based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999, contributing to the guarantee of security, stability, and freedom of movement for all citizens, impartially and at all times,” the statement read.
