A U.S.-based human rights group monitoring casualties in Iran amid nationwide anti-regime protests has released an update, CNN reports.
According to Skylar Thompson, Deputy Director of Human Rights Activists in Iran (HRA), at least 420 protesters have been killed over the past 15 days, including eight children. The information comes from HRANA (Human Rights Activists News Agency), the news branch of the organization.
This represents a dramatic increase from the previous reported death toll of 162, issued earlier the same day.
