The Central Election Commission (CEC) of Kosovo is holding a session today to review the verification report on votes from 2% of polling stations during the early parliamentary elections held on December 28, 2025.

CEC spokesperson Valmir Elezi confirmed that the verification was conducted by the CEC Secretariat and that the findings have led to a concrete recommendation for a recount of certain polling stations.

“The Secretariat has completed the verification process for candidate votes in 2% of polling stations and, based on the findings, has prepared a recommendation for a recount,” Elezi stated.

He added that the final decision regarding the recommendation will be made by the CEC members during today’s meeting.

This development comes as part of the commission’s efforts to ensure transparency, accuracy, and confidence in the electoral process.
