During a session in the Banjska case, Arianit Koci, defense attorney representing the family of Afrim Bunjaku, reacted to Dušan Maksimović’s defense request to hear ten new witnesses, RKS NEWS reports.
“I understand the defense’s attempt to create an alibi through the client’s friends. The court must recognize that this is not the only evidence; there are other indisputable proofs. This proposal only creates confusion and delays the judicial process,” Koci said.
He emphasized that the core of the indictment concerns the organization and participation in the attempt to secede part of northern Kosovo. According to him, some of the witnesses proposed by the defense lack complete records and aim solely to create alibis.
“An alibi can be built with one witness, not ten,” Koci concluded.
