KQZ: Number of Counting Tables Increased, Ballot Counting Continues

The Central Election and Results Counting Center (QNR) continues the counting of ballots, the spokesperson for the Central Election Commission (KQZ), Valmir Elezi, confirmed to Sinjali.

Since the beginning of the process on January 13, 316 out of 914 polling stations have been recounted.

Elezi added that the number of counting tables has been increased from 20 to 26 to speed up the process.

“From the start of this process on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 18:00, until Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 10:00, 316 out of 914 polling stations have been recounted. These belong to the following municipalities: Deçan (5/5), Gjakovë (15/15), Gllogoc (7/7), Gjilan (13/13), Dragash (57/57), Istog (6/6), Kaçanik (45/45), Klinë (6/6), Fushë Kosovë (6/6), Kamenicë (5/5), South Mitrovicë (10/10), Leposaviq (25/25), Lipjan (9/9), Novobërdë (2/2), Obiliq (3/3), Rahovec (8/8), Pejë (14/14), Podujevë (11), Prishtinë (26/26), and Prizren (43/235). According to the data, the recount process has been completed in 19 municipalities so far, and during the rest of the day, other municipalities will be included in the process in order,” Elezi explained.
