In the recorded conversation, French President Emmanuel Macron begins by apologizing for calling Trump early in the morning, explaining that he wanted to personally inform him that “Zelensky had accepted his proposal for a 30-day ceasefire.”
Trump’s reaction was spontaneous and enthusiastic, responding:
