Sir Keir Starmer reacted after Donald Trump outlined plans to impose tariffs on eight European countries—including the United Kingdom—over Greenland.
“Our position on Greenland is very clear—it is part of the Kingdom of Denmark, and its future is a matter for the Greenlandic and Danish people,” Starmer said, according to Sky News via Rks News.
“We have also made clear that Arctic security matters for all of NATO and that allies must do more together to address the threat from Russia in various parts of the Arctic.”
He condemned Trump’s action as “completely wrong.”
“Of course, we will pursue this matter directly with the US administration.”
