Prime Minister Edi Rama has published a letter received from the President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, in which Albania is invited to become a founding member state and a signatory to the Statute of the Peace Board for the administration of Gaza.
In his letter, Trump explains that on September 29, 2025, he announced the “Comprehensive Plan to End the Conflict in Gaza,” a 20-point action plan that, according to him, was immediately supported by world leaders, including key leaders from the Arab world, Israel, and Europe. He further notes that on November 17, the UN Security Council adopted Resolution 2803 by an overwhelming majority, welcoming and supporting the plan.
Trump emphasizes that the Peace Board will be established as a New International Organization and Transitional Governing Administration, describing it as unprecedented in scope and influence.
“As Chairman of the Board, I formally invite the Republic of Albania, represented by you, to join us as a Founding Member State and to become a party to the Statute of the Peace Board,” Trump writes, adding that each member state may appoint an authorized representative to participate and contribute to the Board’s meetings.
He concludes by expressing his anticipation of long-term cooperation toward the goal of permanent world peace, prosperity, and greatness for all.

It is a great honor for me to invite you, as Prime Minister of the Republic of Albania, to join me in a historic and momentous effort to strengthen peace in the Middle East, while at the same time undertaking a bold new approach to resolving global conflict.
On September 29, 2025, I announced the Comprehensive Plan to End the Conflict in Gaza, a 20-point action plan that was immediately supported by all world leaders, including key leaders in the Arab world, Israel, and Europe. Our achievement brings together a group of distinguished nations ready to assume the noble responsibility of building PERMANENT PEACE—an honor reserved for those prepared to lead by example and to commit skillfully to a secure and prosperous future for generations to come.
