The Pristina Basic Prosecutor’s Office issued a statement regarding today’s operation, in which four individuals were arrested.
Authorities confirmed that two of those arrested are officials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MPB), suspected of issuing firearm permits to citizens without following the required legal procedures.
The other two individuals were arrested for “accepting bribes in the private sector.”

The Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Pristina – Department for Serious Crimes – informed the public that, under a court order and at the request of the State Prosecutor, a search and seizure operation was carried out as part of a criminal investigation.
So far, two MPB officials have been arrested for the criminal offense of “Abuse of Official Position or Authority” (Article 414 of the Kosovo Penal Code), suspected of issuing gun permits without adhering to legal procedures. Additionally, two other individuals were arrested for “Acceptance of Bribes in the Private Sector” (Article 309 of the KPC).
During the operation, several documents were seized, which will serve as evidence for the further development of the investigation.
The State Prosecutor will request appropriate preventive measures against the defendants within the legal deadline.
