A protest in defense of former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) is scheduled for February 17, coinciding with the anniversary of Kosovo’s Independence.

According to KosovaPress, the event will take place in Pristina and is being organized by the platform “Liria ka emër” (“Freedom Has a Name”).

So far, it has been reported that the protest will involve participants from war-affected categories. However, OVL-UÇK will not participate in organizing this event, citing that they do not want to be associated with political alignments.

“Liria ka emër” is set to hold a press conference tomorrow at 13:30, where it will discuss the platform’s activities and positions.

Last year, five protests under the slogan “Justice for the Liberators” were organized. These took place in Pristina, The Hague, Tirana, Strasbourg, and Skopje.
