On the 20th anniversary of the death of Historic President Ibrahim Rugova, a series of commemorative events will take place under the organization of President Vjosa Osmani.
At 10:00 AM, a tribute ceremony will be held at President Rugova’s grave in Velani.
At 12:00 PM, a Commemorative Academy will be held under Osmani’s patronage at the amphitheater of the Central University Library (former Institute of History “Ali Hadri”) in Prishtina.
President Rugova passed away on January 21, 2006, at the age of 62, leaving a lasting legacy as a symbol of peace and democracy in Kosovo.
